finance & fund operations associate (f/m/d)

Your mission

In this newly created position you report to the Head of Finance and support our finance team in financial planning, analysis, reporting as well as in other fund controlling and reporting activities. This position is a perfect fit for someone  with a background in finance or business studies, who gained work experience in a professional services environment. If you have a keen interest in venture capital, controlling, valuation and reporting and aim to contribute to the financial well-being of redalpine and our funds, this role offers an unparalleled opportunity to get to know venture capital and work as part of a highly entrepreneurially minded team. Based at our headquarter in Switzerland, you will join an ambitious and international team, with your main responsibilities including:

Financial Reporting & Fund Administration
  • Aid in the preparation of fund financial reports/investor  reporting, performance calculations and liquidity analysis. Help prepare capital calls, distributions, statements of holding for our limited partners in conjunction with our LUX service providers (e.g. fund administrator, auditor, AIFM).
Modeling & Analysis 
  • Conduct financial modeling, forecasting and analysis for redalpine's fund portfolio.
Valuation
  • Conduct portfolio company valuations, aligned with IPEV Valuation Guidelines.
Controlling
  • Assist in the oversight and management of accounting, financial statements and audits. 
Transactions
  • Support transaction processes for the portfolio companies (i.e., investments, follow-on rounds and divestments)
IT & Excel Mastery
  • Help maintain, improve and document internal processes & tools (e.g. investor portal, portfolio management database, etc.) and demonstrate your strong Excel skills (e.g. build financial models).
Your profile
  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance & Accounting, or a comparable finance qualification (e.g. federal diploma);
  • You have 2–5 years of experience in fund operations, accounting, or financial controlling, ideally within a fiduciary company, fund administrator, or the finance department of a venture capital, private equity, or asset management firm;
  • You have exceptional analytical, financial modeling and Excel skills;
  • You have proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, in German and English;
  • You are a driven, fast learner who thrives in a dynamic, ever-changing environment;
  • You are a solution-oriented, proactive, and highly reliable individual with a hands-on and assertive mentality;
  • You are a team player willing to take ownership in challenging situations and work proactively towards common goals.
